Short Biography
Sumyeong Ahn is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Energy AI at KENTECH. He recieved his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Korea University (Seoul) in 2015, followed by an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from KAIST (Daejeon) in 2017, and a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence (Seoul) from KAIST in 2023. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Michigan State University. His research interests span the robust application of AI and the development of trustworthy AI, with a particular focus on foundation models. Ultimately his goal is to ensure AI becomes a highly trusted assistant to humans, enabling its application in real-world domains such as energy systems.
